ABN Amro is struggling with a malfunction on its internet banking website, as a result of which the website is ‘less available’. As a result, payments can sometimes not be made or people can have problems logging in.

Customers complain about the malfunction on social media, AlleStoringen reports, and ABN Amro confirms when asked that there is a malfunction. “There is indeed a reduction in availability,” said a spokeswoman for the bank.

The bank does not yet know what caused the outage. “A hack is in any case out of the question,” said the spokeswoman. Why a hack has been ruled out is unknown. The malfunction means that customers are sometimes unable to log in or make payments. The problem affects all customers.
