Intel site shows first details of Core i7 8809G processor with Vega GPU
Intel has put a page for overclockers online, which also shows details of its first processor with AMD Vega GPU. It is a Core i7 in the 8000 series with hyperthreading and four cores, which makes it seem like a Kaby Lake CPU.
The listing on the Indian Intel site also indicates that the Core i7-8809G has a clock speed of 3.1GHz and has 8MB L3 cache. In addition, the site mentions a ‘target package tdp’ of 100W and there is support for ddr4-2400 memory. The mentioned GPU is of the type Vega RX M GH and is present next to integrated Intel graphics in the form of an HD 630. The site does not provide any further information, for example about the number of compute units present, and shows a 404 page as the processor is selected.
There is also no information about the available hbm2 memory, which Intel mentioned in the announcement of the collaboration with AMD in November. The timing of the page’s publication suggests that Intel plans to disclose the missing information about the processor during the CES trade show. The fair will take place next week.
Earlier, photos appeared online of a prototype motherboard with the package with Intel processor and AMD GPU.
