Intel unveiled a new NUC PC at CES. It concerns the NUC 9 Extreme, the details of which have already leaked out. Furthermore, the company hinted that mobile processors are on the way that will work at more than 5GHz.

Known internally as Ghost Canyon, the NUC 9 Extreme should offer desktop and gaming performance in a 5-liter chassis, according to Intel. The NUC can be equipped with separate video cards and processor and other upgrades can be done via Compute Element modules. These are pci-e cards with cpu, ram, chipset and storage. In any case, there will be a Compute Element with a Core i9 with unlocked multiplier, Intel announced according to Hardware Info. The company did not give more details yet, but they did appear in October last year, when an extensive description leaked online. However, the price is still unknown.

Furthermore, Intel revealed that the tenth generation of Core processors in the H series will be released soon. These are Intel’s high performance processors that come in game laptops, among other things. Generation Core i7s will run at 5GHz and above, and Core i9s will be clocked above 5GHz anyway. More details about these chips should follow shortly.
