Intel presents NUC mini PC with Core i7 and Iris Graphics 6100
Intel has announced the first NUC mini PC with a Core i7. It is a model with Broadwell processor. Intel will probably equip the system with the Core i7-5557U with Iris Graphics 6100.
This first Intel NUC with Core i7 processor and type number NUC5i7RYH will arrive in the second quarter of 2015, Intel reports on its site. It is a model in the new series of NUCs, which is equipped with Broadwell processors. Details about the system will be announced by Intel, for now the company only reports that the system supports 2.5″ drives.
According to Fanless Tech, it is the Core i7-5557U: a dual-core for laptops with a clock speed of 3.1GHz and TDP of 28W. The GPU is the Iris Graphics 6100, which has 48 execution units. The GPU is Intel’s most powerful integrated video chip to date. Fudzilla previously reported about the NUC5i7RYH; according to that site, the model will also receive support for wifi-ac and there is also hdmi 1.4a, displayport 1.2, gigabit lan and four usb 3.0 ports.
