Intel introduces modular NUC P14E laptop with 3:2 screen and 77Wh battery
Intel introduces its modular NUC P14E laptop. This notebook supports, among other things, interchangeable Compute Element cards with a CPU and memory. The NUC P14E also has a 3:2 screen and a 77Wh battery.
The Intel NUC P14E uses NUC 11 Compute Element expansion cards, which come in various configurations. Intel supplies such cards with various processors, from an Intel Celeron 6305 dual-core to an Intel Core i7-1185G7. Users can also opt for 4GB to 16GB of Lpddr4x-4266 memory.
The Compute Elements cards also offer Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6. Intel’s product information indicates that the NUC P14E laptop is also compatible with future Compute Element generations. The laptop has an M.2 slot, but Intel itself does not supply an SSD.
Intel also states in a downloadable PDF that the laptop will be equipped with a 13.9 “screen with a resolution of 3000×2000 pixels and a maximum brightness of 400cd/m². The IPS display is touch-sensitive and, according to Intel, can display the full sRGB- display color space.
The company also equips the laptop with a Thunderbolt 4 type C port and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 type A connections. The NUC P14E also features an HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.4 connection, a 3.5mm jack for audio and an RJ45 connector for gigabit Ethernet. The device also has an IR camera for Windows Hello and a fingerprint scanner.
The NUC P14E measures 303.6 x 229.4 x 16.55mm and weighs 1.5kg. The 77Wh battery is charged via USB-C with an included 65W charger. Intel is targeting the laptop for business use, the company reports in its product information PDF. The company does not disclose suggested retail prices and it is also not clear whether and when the device will be released in the Benelux.
