Intel Core i9-14900KS with boost clock of 6.2GHz appears in Israeli webshop
The unannounced Intel Core i9-14900KS has surfaced in an Israeli online store. A boost clock speed of 6.2GHz is mentioned, which could make this CPU the fastest consumer processor yet.
On the webshop of the Israeli PC-Online become several desktop computers with a built-in Intel Core i9-14900KS offered, so discovered a user on the Anandtech forum. While the i9-14900K and i9-14900KF are both currently in the lead with a boost clock of 6.0GHz, the KS variant is 200MHz faster according to this listing. The CPU would also have a higher maximum TDP, namely 150W instead of 125W. Just like the other i9-14900 CPUs, the new version has 36MB of L3 cache and 32MB of L2 cache, according to the webshop. The base clock speed and core configuration are not mentioned.
By the way, places VideoCardz has some comments on this listing. For example, the desktop PCs come with ‘only’ DDR4-3200 memory and do not have a separate GPU, which makes them appear unsuitable for gaming in addition to the CPU, but rather intended for office environments. It is currently possible to order these pre-built computers, although there is a good chance that they do not actually contain an i9-14900KS processor.
