An unannounced Intel Core i5-14400 desktop processor has appeared in Geekbench. This is expected to be based on Raptor Lake, just like the previously announced 14th Gen Core CPUs. The processor will probably be released next year.

The Intel Core i5-14400 gets six P-cores and four E-cores, for a total of ten cores and sixteen threads with a TDP of 65W, so according to the Geekbench listing. The processor therefore appears technically almost identical to the previous Core i5-13400, which has the same core setup. The CPU will probably have higher clock speeds. According to Geekbench, the chip will have a base clock of 2.5GHz and a turbo frequency of up to 4.7GHz. also writes VideoCardz. With the current Core i5-13400, those speeds are 2.5GHz and 4.6GHz respectively.

Intel announced its first Core CPUs in the fourteenth generation on Monday. This is a refresh of the Raptor Lake architecture that Intel introduced last year. The chips often have slightly higher clock speeds, with the exception of the Core i7-14700K, which has extra E-cores.

To date, Intel has only announced overclockable K and KF models with a TDP of 125W in its fourteenth generation. The 65W models, which also include the Core i5-14400, are expected to follow in 2024. Previously, the product names of all 14th Gen Core CPUs already appeared in an Intel document, where the Core i5-14400 was also mentioned.
