Intel buys Axxia Networking for half a billion euros
Intel has acquired the company Axxia Networking for an amount of 650 million dollars, converted approximately 486 million euros. Axxia makes wireless network equipment, among other things. Intel wants to improve its position in the mobile market with the acquisition.
Axxia is part of the company LSI. This company was acquired last year for 5 billion euros by chip manufacturer Avago. Avago has now decided to divest the network part of LSI and sell it to Intel.
