Business PC sales are picking up for the first time in several years. So says Intel, which supplies the lion’s share of processors for such computers. The end of support for Windows XP could be a reason.

It is mainly companies that buy more PCs, Intel says in an adjustment of its expectations for the second quarter. Due to the improving demand, Intel expects more turnover. It is the first time in several years that there are positive signals from the PC market, which was actually experiencing a downward spiral.

One reason for this may be that due to the end of support for Windows XP, companies are purchasing new computers with a more recent version of Microsoft’s operating system. In mid-July, Intel promises to tell you more about exactly where sales have picked up.
