Intel has released new Broadwell and Skylake processors. The models vary from Celerons to i7s and are given suffixes that indicate that the cpus, among other things, work at lower voltages or have no gpu. The meaning of the DU suffix is unknown.

Although some of the new processors can already be found in the Intel Spec Finder, this does not apply to all models. The American company has put them all in the suggested retail price list for its products, in which they can be recognized by the lack of a price in November. Intel’s offering will get two Celerons, a Core i3, three Core i5s and two Core i7s. The Core i3 and one of the i5s are for desktops. The two Celeron models are given the U suffix, indicative of a lower voltage. The i3 and one of the i5s get the P stamp that was used in the past to indicate that a processor does not receive an integrated gpu.

The names of the rest of the new processors, two i5s and two i7s, end in DU. While it’s unclear what this stands for, CPU World reports that the processors have the same specs as certain Intel U-processors; for example, the new Core i5-5200DU has the same amount of cores, clock speed and size L3 cache as the Core i5-5200U. Even the suggested retail prices are the same. It is not clear at the moment what the distinction is between the new and the existing processors.
