Instagram will let users upload one-minute videos

Instagram will make it possible to upload videos of up to 60 seconds. The limit is currently 15 seconds, although ads can be longer. In the iOS version, the ability to compose movies from multiple clips returns.

The multi-clip feature, which allows the creation of movies that consist of a combination of previously recorded images, is only coming to the Instagram app for Apple devices. Version 7.19, coming out next week, includes the functionality. Android users cannot take advantage of this.

Instagram says it will start extending the time limit to 60 seconds today. However, the blog also states that longer videos will be available to everyone “in the coming months.” It is therefore not clear when it will be possible to upload the longer videos.

Instagram previously announced that it will show how often videos are viewed. Back then, the social photo and video network said that video viewing has increased by 40 percent in the last six months.

Instagram also wants to adjust the order of photos and videos in users’ feeds and no longer display them chronologically. The decision to sort posts with an algorithm has been met with a lot of comment from users.
