Instagram will bundle photos and videos at events

Instagram will now bundle photos and videos at major events and events. This is done by company employees who make a selection of the best content created by users.

The new content streams for certain events are currently only intended for Americans and can be accessed in the Instagram app. The service kicked off on Saturday with its first event: Halloween. In the application, users can see an overview of the best videos made by users during this event, according to Instagram.

Instagram informed Re/code in an email that the content stream is intended to help users quickly find interesting content from recent events. The content in question has been selected by Instagram employees; it is unclear whether automated content feeds will also be introduced. Because photos and videos have to be selected manually, it is likely that the number of events and events that are bundled in Instagram will be limited. To Re/code, Instagram indicated that it wanted to do more with bundled content in the future, but details are still lacking.

Several competing social networks are working on bundled content. For example, Snapchat has its Live Stories and Twitter recently introduced Moments.
