‘Instagram lets users tag the creators of their NFTs’

Instagram will begin its test of nft integration this week, CoinDesk reports. Instagram will support Ethereum, Polygon, Solana and Flow. If the test passes, the integration of NFTs would also come to Facebook.

In addition, a select number of NFT owners in the United States can prove that they have certain NFTs, showing them and tagging the creator on the social network, reports CoinDesk. The test was due to start this week and when nft integration will be open to everyone is unknown.

In the test, nft owners can prove possession by, for example, linking their MetaMask wallet to their account on Instagram. After that, the functions to display the nfts would become available. The features wouldn’t cost any money.

It has been known for some time that Instagram will support NFTs. The move will probably bring more people into contact with the technology in one fell swoop, with users paying for a proof of ownership of a digital asset. Instagram has not yet announced the details of the test. Twitter already supports NFTs in the form of hexagonal avatars and YouTube would also support the technology.
