Instagram lets users share galleries of photos and videos

Instagram has introduced new functionality that allows users to share multiple photos and videos at the same time. These so-called galleries can accommodate up to ten photos or videos.

Instagram announced on its blog that the new gallery feature will be released on its Android and iOS apps. The necessary software update should be available immediately, but it may take a while to reach everyone.

Galleries can be created by selecting multiple photos or videos during upload. Instagram then automatically converts this into a gallery, in which all images are made visible simultaneously. It is also possible to view the photos and videos separately. It is possible for users to make adjustments, for example by changing the order. Incidentally, the function works up to a maximum of ten photos or videos.

Furthermore, it is possible to adjust all photos and videos in the gallery individually or simultaneously. However, it is not yet possible to write separate accompanying texts for all photos and videos in the gallery.
