Inspection shows that Samsung is working on a tablet with 5g
Samsung is said to be working on a Tab S6 with 5g, according to an inspection by the Bluetooth SIG. The variant of the tablet presented earlier would be the first tablet with 5g on board. So far, only smartphones and other devices with 5G have appeared.
The approval of the Bluetooth SIG shows that Samsung gives the tablet the name Galaxy Tab S6 5G, Galaxyclub reports. According to the site, the type number shows that it is a device for the South Korean market. In South Korea, 5g has been live for almost half a year and there are already a relatively large number of people who have a 5g subscription.
The tablet is presumably a variant of the previously presented Tab S6. That tablet has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 soc, which is compatible with the Qualcomm X50 soc with 5g support. This would make it relatively easy to convert the tablet into a 5g variant.
A release in the Benelux for the 5g variant is not obvious, because 5g networks are not yet active here and will not go live for the time being. Samsung has not yet responded to the rumor. It is also unknown when the manufacturer would like to present the 5g tablet.
