Inspection body shows specs and photos of Redmi phone with 5000mAh battery
Details and photos of an upcoming Redmi phone have appeared on the website of Chinese approval authority TENAA. The phone has a battery capacity of 5000mAh. It is probably the Redmi 8A.
The Tenaa listing reveals that the phone will have a 6.2″ LCD with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels. This corresponds to a 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone is 9.2mm thick and weighs 188 grams. The 15, 6×7.5cm houses a battery with a capacity of 5000mAh.
The phone contains an unknown processor with eight cores running at 2GHz. The Redmi 7A, which Xiaomi released earlier this year, also includes an octacore CPU running at 2GHz, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439. The unknown Redmi phone will run on Android 9.
The phone comes in variants with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of storage capacity. This can be expanded by up to 512GB with a micro SD card. The TENAA website states that the phone can have 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of ram. The amount of RAM may depend on the storage size of the phone.
It is still unclear whether the phone has a USB-C connector. The Redmi 7A has another micro USB port. The phone has a single 12-megapixel rear camera. The selfie camera has a resolution of eight megapixels. Video recordings will have a maximum resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Xiaomi has not yet announced the Redmi phone and has not commented on the appearance of the photos and details. Tenaa often shows photos and specs of unannounced smartphones: manufacturers must have their smartphones tested before they can appear on the Chinese market.
