Some specifications of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have been published on the website of the Chinese testing agency Tenaa. If that information is correct, the iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 25 percent higher battery capacity compared to the iPhone XS Max.

According to Tenaa’s information, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will have battery capacities of 3110, 3046 and 3969mAh respectively. The listing on the website of the Chinese inspection agency was discovered by MacRumors. It is expected that the models released in China will match the models released elsewhere. Tenaa also reports that the three models will all get 4GB of ram.

This information means that the iPhone 11 Pro Max will have a battery capacity that is about 25 percent higher than last year’s iPhone XS Max. It had a capacity of 3174mAh, while the iPhone XS came out at 2658mAh and the iPhone XR had a battery capacity of 2942mAh.

Apple usually does not publish information about the capacity of the batteries in iPhones, although the company released information about the battery capacities of the upcoming devices last week. This shows that the percentage increases mentioned above are largely the same as for the predecessors. It will probably become clear in the coming weeks whether Tenaa’s information is completely correct, after there have been teardowns, for example.

Batteries new iPhones Capacity Previous generation Capacity Increase
iPhone 11 3110mAh iPhone XR 2942mAh 5.7 percent
iPhone 11 Pro 3046mAh iPhone XS 2658mAh 14.5 percent
iPhone 11 Pro Max 3969mAh iPhone XS Max 3174mAh 25 percent
