Inspection body documents point to 1TB version of PS4
Documents from the American approval authority FCC indicate that Sony is about to present two variants of its PlayStation 4 console. One has a storage memory of 1TB, twice as much as the game console now has on board.
Sony has requested the FCC to keep photos of the devices under wraps, but details of the new variants of the PS4 are in the documents, NeoGaf visitors discovered. The label clearly states that it is a PlayStation 4, which makes it impossible that it is a different device.
The documents also contain details. The new consoles are the same size, but weigh slightly less: 2.5 kilos instead of around 2.8 kilos. In addition, it seems to require slightly less power, presumably due to the use of newer, more economical components.
The first logical moment for the presentation of the new PS4 variants is in a few weeks, when Sony gives a press conference at the E3 game fair. Nothing is known yet about the prices and availability of the upcoming PS4 variants.
