‘Images Sonos Roam show smaller and cheaper speaker than the Move’
Images and specifications published on the internet indicate that Sonos wants to release the Roam in April. This would be a wireless speaker that works via WiFi and Bluetooth and that should come out in the US for $169.
The images show that the Sonos Roam is a lot smaller than the Move, the wireless speaker that Sonos already has in its range and that also works via WiFi and Bluetooth. The design is more elongated and in line with other portable wireless speakers like the JBL Flip and Boom from Ultimate Ears.
According to sources from The Verge, the Roam measures 16.5×6.4×6.5cm and weighs 450 grams. The battery time would be ten hours and the speaker would be waterproof. The Roam would also run on Sonos’ S2 platform and could be included in a multi-room setup.
Sonos would also make it possible to connect two speakers for a stereo set-up. Furthermore, according to the rumor, microphones are present for voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Sonos plans to make the Roam available on April 20 for $169.
