Images show Xiaomi Mix 4 smartphone with rear camera
Images have appeared from the reviewer’s guide of the Xiaomi Mix 4 smartphone, along with an extensive spec sheet. It is the first smartphone from Xiaomi that has a camera behind the screen.
The front camera behind the screen has a resolution of twenty megapixels, as shown by the images where, among other things GizmoChina writes about. The original post on Weibo seems to have disappeared. Xiaomi will announce the Mix 4 on Tuesday, along with some other products such as a new tablet.
The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ soc along with Lpddr5 memory at 6400MHz and UFS 3.1 flash storage. The size of memory and storage probably differs per version. The screen is a 6.67″ OLED screen with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels.
The main camera on the back has a Samsung Bright HMX sensor with a resolution of 108 megapixels, an area of 69 square millimeters and an optical size of 1/1.33″. That is not the largest sensor that Samsung makes, because it has an area of 98 square millimeters. The second camera has an ultra-wide-angle lens with ‘freeform’ capabilities, can focus from 2cm away and has a resolution of thirteen megapixels. The third camera is a periscopic telephoto lens with 5x magnification compared to the primary camera.
The Android phone’s 4500mAh battery can be charged at 120W, while wireless charging is at 50W. Information about prices and availability is not yet available. Xiaomi released earlier phones under the Mi Mix name from 2016; these were phones with experiments in screen technology and use of materials, among other things. The foldable phone that Xiaomi presented earlier this year was also released in the Mix line.
