Images show Samsung DeX Pad, which turns smartphone into trackpad for PC
EVLeaks has published two images of the Samsung DeX Pad. The docking station for PC functionality of a smartphone can house a device horizontally, so that it can serve as a trackpad or virtual keyboard.
The DeX Pad lies flat on a surface and has a protrusion with usb-c where the smartphone can be inserted. In the middle there seems to be a grid with a fan underneath, presumably to cool the smartphone.
The docking station also has a USB-C port for connecting external hardware, two more USB-A ports and HDMI for connection to a monitor. The images were published by Evan Blass, aka EVLeaks, who previously revealed that Samsung would come up with a new backwards compatible DeX accessory.
The official announcement will likely coincide with that of the Galaxy S9 models. Samsung recently announced that the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be announced on February 25.
