Images of RX 5600XT video cards have surfaced online. This concerns two models from ASRock and XFX, the Phantom Gaming and the Thicc II Pro respectively. The video cards are expected to be released in January.

The ASRock Phantom Gaming was discovered by VideoCardz. This model has three fans and comes with an overclock from the factory. The card has a single 8-pin connector for power, while the RX 5700 Phantom Gaming, which is based on the same Navi 10 GPU, has two connectors. The pcb of the RX 5600XT is shorter than that of the RX 5700 variant, but the coolers of both video cards are the same length at 29 centimeters. The Phantom Gaming also has three DisplayPort 1.2a connectors and an HDMI 2.0b connection. According to VideoCardz, the Phantom Gaming has a clock speed of 1560MHz in game mode, but other specifications are not mentioned.

An RX 5600XT appeared on the ASRock website in December. This was the RX 5600XT Challenger D. This video card has a game clock of 1460MHz and two fans. Presumably the Phantom Gaming is a higher positioned model.

This week, a Thicc II Pro GPU from XFX also appeared on the manufacturer’s website. It is a GPU with two 100mm fans, a single 8-pin connector for power, and a design with copper-colored accents and a backplate. The cooler has four copper heatpipes, each 6 millimeters thick. The GPU has three DisplayPort 1.4 connections with support for HDR. The card also has an HDMI 2.0b connector.

The Thicc II Pro has a game clock of 1460MHz and a turbo frequency of up to 1620MHz. The GPU has 6GB GDDR6 memory with a 192bit interface and a speed of 12Gbit/s. This translates into a memory bandwidth of 288GB/s. The website further mentions ‘January 2019’ as the release date, but presumably this should be January 2020.

AMD is expected to introduce the RX 5600XT during CES 2020. The company will hold a presentation on January 6. The video cards are rumored to be released this month.
