Images show possible display of notifications in Android N
Images have surfaced of what may be a new way of displaying notifications in the next version of Android. Blog Android Police made the renders based on screenshots it saw.
In the new view, notifications are no longer cards with large icons in front of them, but bars that run the length of the screen and show the icon and the name of the application at the top. This is evident from the images that Android Police has published. The site emphasizes that they are mock-ups and not screenshots.
At the top is a row of quick toggles, an element that many manufacturers already built into their software, but that was missing from stock Android until now. These quick toggles provide faster access to Wi-Fi, battery status and the flashlight function, among other things.
The window with all the toggles especially seems to be more compact, with no visible buttons for the quick menus for WiFi and Bluetooth. In addition, toggles seem to be spread over several pages. In addition, a main menu can be seen on the mock-ups. Previously, it was rumored that Google would remove the app drawer, but that has not happened yet, according to the site.
Google has been announcing a new version of Android at its own developer conference I/O for several years now. This year it will take place from May 18. The release of the new Android variant has always followed in the autumn in recent years.
