Images show Lenovo ThinkPad Z laptops in 13″ and 16″ variants
Evan Blass has published images of two unannounced Lenovo ThinkPad Z laptops. The well-known leaker shows a model with a 13″ screen and a 16″ variant. It is not known when Lenovo will officially announce the laptops.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 . shown by EvLeaks gets a leather finish with gold accents, while the Z16 pictured has a more traditional casing. Both laptops have a full-HD webcam, which protrudes slightly above the screen edges. Next to the webcam are several sensors; may be those intended for Windows Hello facial recognition, but this is not confirmed by EvLeaks.
Furthermore, it can be seen that the Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 will receive three USB-C connections, one of which is used to charge the notebook. Furthermore, the Z16 seems to have a 3.5mm jack and an SD card reader. Images of the Z13 show a 3.5mm jack and two USB-C connections, one of which is also used to charge the laptop. The on-off button is on the right side of both variants. Further specifications are not yet known.
The ThinkPad Z laptops have not yet been officially announced by Lenovo. The manufacturer will hold a presentation next week in the context of the electronics fair CES. The company is not physically present at the fair but recently announced on Twitter that it will announce new products. EvLeaks also previously showed an unannounced Lenovo ThinkBook Plus laptop with an extra screen that sits next to the keyboard. No release date has yet been announced for that laptop.
