Images show iPhone 12 Pro Max with narrower bezels and smaller notch
Renders have surfaced online of what the iPhone 12 Pro Max would look like, based on CAD drawings of Apple’s upcoming smartphone. The images show a smartphone with narrower screen edges and a smaller screen notch.
The rendering of the iPhone 12 Pro Max is published by YouTube channel EverythingApplePro based on CAD drawings that Max Weinbach got hold of. Those drawings would be 70 percent accurate, according to Weinbach. Among other things, the dimensions and screen size would be correct, but the camera set-up, for example, is not.
Those dimensions are 160.84×78.09×7.39mm. This would make the iPhone 12 Pro Max longer and wider than the iPhone 11 Pro Max, but also thinner. The 12 Pro Max would have a 6.7″ screen, compared to a 6.5″ screen for the 11 Pro Max. Opposite are narrower screen edges, according to the rumor. Apple would still hesitate between two variants of a smaller notch in the screen for the camera and sensors: one that is narrower and one that is thinner than its predecessor.
The housing of the upcoming iPhone is said to be made of stainless steel and characterized by flat sides, in contrast to the rounder design of the iPhone 11. The camera module is larger, with three cameras and the cool sensor that the new iPad Pro also contains. Also present are the three circles of the Smart Connector, which is also present on the iPad Pro. At the bottom of the smartphone are the Lightning connector and a speaker, which would have been improved.
