Some images of the new Spartan browser that Microsoft is working on have surfaced on the internet. The screenshots show small details of the browser, which seems to have a minimalistic interface like that of Firefox and Chrome.

These are two small images that only show part of the interface and are also not too sharp. However, according to Neowin, who is knowledgeable about Microsoft topics, these are authentic images, where previous screenshots would have been fake. Neowin has created a mockup based on the leaked images, and the site claims the browser’s appearance is similar to Chrome and Firefox.

It can be seen that the tabs are rectangular, with a cross to close and below them buttons for navigating forward, backward and refreshing the page. In the url bar there is a star for creating a bookmark and next to it is a button for a reading mode. This option would only display the text on a page for easier reading.

There is also a button for folders and one for sharing content via social media. Three dots are similar to the hamburger menu and clicking it would give access to more options. Furthermore, the browser would display pages edge-to-edge, with no borders or other elements on the sides and bottom.

At the end of December, it was rumored that Microsoft is working on a new browser with a new version of the Trident engine.
