Images show interface of Nokia’s Android smartphone

Images have surfaced of Nokia’s Android smartphone, codenamed Normandy. It shows the interface of the unannounced device. Previously, images of the smartphone itself have surfaced.

The pictures are online set by the well-known Twitter account Evleaks and shows several screens of Nokia’s Android interface. This is how the home screen can be seen. It is striking that the interface shows great similarities with that of Windows Phone, the mobile OS from Microsoft. The notification screen can also be seen, which makes it clear that Nokia has also put its own graphical shell over it. It is unclear which version of Android the Nokia interface is based on. The images also show the Normandy’s dualsim support.

Previously, images of the Normandy itself have already been put online, also posted by Evleaks. It seems to be a product image of Nokia, which indicates that the manufacturer was in an advanced stage of development. There have been rumors about an Android smartphone from Nokia since the end of last year.

It remains to be seen whether the Android smartphone will come to the market. There are also rumors that the Finnish mobile phone maker has scrapped the Normandy after the company was acquired by Microsoft. The latter is going to market smartphones under its own name.
