Images show ‘compact’ ASUS Dual RTX 4070 Super OC graphics card
Images of the ASUS RTX 4070 Super Dual OC have surfaced. This custom RTX 4070 Super video card appears to have 12GB of RAM and a 12-pin connector. The card is said to be more compact compared to the regular ASUS Dual RTX 4070 OC.
The images have been leaked by X user momomo_us and were analyzed by the editors of VideoCardz. It notes that the video card will be supplied with a 12VHWPR connector and not with an 8-pin connector as is the case with the Dual RTX 4070 OC. According to VideoCardz, the new GPU will consume 225W of power, instead of 200W with the Dual RTX 4070 OC. The card would also be slightly more compact compared to that card.
It is not clear when the ASUS RTX 4070 Super Dual OC will hit the market. Previous rumors indicate that Nvidia wants to introduce the Super variants of the RTX 4070, 4070 Ti and 4080 on January 8. The American company would also like to give a presentation on that day during the CES trade fair in Las Vegas. The Super variants would hit store shelves at the end of January.
Rumors have been circulating about the Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Super desktop graphics cards for a while now. These will be improved versions of the current non-Super counterparts. The Super cards would, among other things, have more CUDA cores and in some cases also more VRAM. Nvidia has not yet officially announced the arrival of these GPUs.
