Images of the AMD Radeon RX 480 have appeared on the internet. There is an image of several cards from the manufacturer XFX and a photo with the cover removed. In addition, there is a GPU-z screenshot.

The image, which Videocardz is publishing along with some other rumors and RX 480 posts, shows a location with multiple Radeon cards believed to be from XFX. Except for the backplate, not many details can be distinguished on the card, it is probably reference models with air coolers. The image, on the other hand, is accompanied by a screenshot of GPU-z, from Chiphell, which attributes a clock speed of 1328MHz to the XFX Radeon RX 480. That is somewhat higher than the clock speed of the card as AMD announced at the beginning of this month.

An image of the reference version of the new Radeon without cover has also appeared. This shows the relatively small GPU next to the air cooler. That reference card does not have DVI, but according to an AMD employee, partners can implement this interface since the pin-out is present on the pcb.

The RX 480 has a Polaris 10-gpu with 36 CUs and a 256-bit bus that communicates with 4GB or 8GB GDDR5 memory. The card gets a TDP of 150 watts and a six-pin power connector. The card will be available on June 29 for $199. Euro prices are not yet known.

Update, 11.50: More photos of the reference card have appeared online showing that the card is 24cm long.
