Images confirm arrival of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super with gddr6
Renders of GTX 1660 Super video cards from Zotac have appeared. The packaging states that the cards are equipped with gddr6. The regular GTX 1660 has gddr5. Nivida is rumored to be introducing the GTX 1660 Super this month.
VideoCardz has published images of two GTX 1660 Super cards from Zotac. Exact specifications are not yet known, but the renders confirm that the new 1660 variant will receive gddr6 memory.
Nvidia currently has the GTX 1660 with gddr5 and the GTX 1660 Ti with gddr6 in its range. The new map would thus be positioned between these two models. The cheapest 1660 cards are in the Pricewatch for about 230 euros, while 1660 Ti models are for sale from about 280 euros. It is not yet clear whether Nvidia wants to offer three different GTX 1660 variants or whether the Super will replace the cheapest model.
According to a rumor last month, the GTX 1660 Super cards would be equipped with gddr6 with a speed of 14Gbit/s. That’s faster than the 1660 Ti’s 12Gbit/s memory. However, the 1660 Super would have 1408 Cuda cores just like the regular 1660; the Ti version has more.
