Images and webshop page hint at the arrival of 128GB model Oculus Quest 2
Photos of the packaging of the Oculus Quest 2 with a mention that it is a 128GB model have appeared online. A product page at a webshop that has now been taken offline also mentions such a model.
Pictures of the packaging of what would be a 128GB version of the Oculus Quest 2 emerged earlier this month on Imgurwithout further details, but with a clear mention of 128GB on the packaging and a production date of June 2021.
Subsequently, a 128GB model of the Quest 2 appeared at French affiliated webshops LDLC and Top Achat, GamerGen noted. That site received confirmation from Top Achat that the 128GB version was going to replace the 64GB model and that this could be publicly announced. Despite this, LDLC took the product page offline; through the Wayback Machine is it still available. The page showed a price of 349 euros, the same price as the 64GB model currently has.
Finally, an ad for an Oculus Quest 2 listing storage quantities of 128GB and 256GB appeared in Japanese manga magazine over the weekend Shonen Jump Plus, although this reference has also since been removed. Currently there are only 64GB and 256GB versions of the Quest 2. The 64GB variant is poorly available at least at the French Amazon branch.
