Image shows the front of iPhone 6 with 4.7″ screen – update
An image has appeared on a Chinese site of what appears to be the front of the upcoming iPhone with 4.7″ screen. It is the front of a white iPhone, which looks identical in design to the current iPhone 5s, but then a lot bigger.
The image was posted online by a user of the Chinese social networking site Weibo. The photo shows the front of a large iPhone, with an identical layout of the home button, camera and phone speaker and with narrow screen bezels. Because the device part is next to an iPhone 5s in the photo, it can be deduced that the front is around 140x66mm, making the upcoming iPhone slightly larger than a Galaxy S4 mini.
The photo was taken in a hall and in the lower right corner you can see more fronts covered by a layer of plastic. However, it is not certain that the photo shows an authentic iPhone front: in the run-up to new Apple products, photos of parts and designs appear regularly, which do not always turn out to be correct. There have been rumors for months about the arrival of two new sizes for the iPhone: 4.7″ and 5.5″, the latter being said to have been delayed.
Update, 13:26: This article originally stated that it would be a version of the iPhone with a 5.5″ screen, but in the calculation of the size, two numbers were reversed due to a typo, so the result was different.
