Images of a system camera that would be the EOS M3 have appeared on a Japanese camera site. The camera seems to deviate from the EOS M2 on a number of points, but no more than that predecessor to have an EVF.

The image appeared on Digital Camera Info, which regularly publishes images of unreleased cameras. Canon is expected to announce new cameras on February 6, and the EOS M3 would be one of them. The system camera gets a number of additions compared to its predecessor, based on the image.

For example, there is a greater grip with bulge and non-slip material. In addition, a program wheel can be seen, which the M2 did not have. In any case, the camera seems to be available in white, with Canon opting for silver metallic accents instead of black with the M2. On Friday, Canon may also announce the EOS 5DS DSLR.
