Image shows supposedly foldable smartphone Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold

A poster has emerged of what would be the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, the first foldable smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer. The poster also shows some specifications of the alleged device.

The text below the image shows that it would be an 8.01″ screen with a “2K resolution”, GizmoChina reports. The screen could display a billion colors, just like several recent high-end phones. furthermore have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, the most recent high-end soc from the American chip designer.

It is a model such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series, with a large screen that is inside and that can be used by opening the phone. A screen can also be seen on the outside in the image, but there is no more information about it. The primary 108-megapixel camera would also have a liquid lens.

GizmoChina speculates that after Monday’s announcements, Xiaomi will soon hold another event to showcase the Mi Mix Fold and its own new Surge chip. Information about that possible event is not yet available. Photos of a prototype of the device have already appeared before. Xiaomi has also confirmed that a new Mi Mix phone is coming.
