Image shows reference design GeForce RTX 2080 Ti with two fans
An image has emerged that supposedly shows the reference design of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. It is a cooler with two fans. It may be the Founders Edition. The specifications of the RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti are also known.
VideoCardz publishes the image showing the cooler of the RTX 2080 Ti. It is not yet clear whether Nvidia will call its own design Founders Edition again, as was the case with the previous generation. The image confirms an earlier rumor that Nvidia’s design would gain two fans.
Little information is known about the reference video card from Nvidia, while a lot of images and information about the custom cards from manufacturers have already leaked. This seems to indicate that only Nvidia itself will sell the cards with its own coolers via its webshop. With the cooler with two fans, Nvidia deviates from the design of previous years. The Founders Editions of the GTX 10-series cards had one radial fan.
Over the weekend, VideoCardz published many images of the upcoming RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti video cards from various manufacturers. The versions of Gigabyte, Asus, EVGA, PNY and Zotac are online. Photos of the cards of MSI and Palit already appeared on Friday.
Of PNY, not only photos appeared online, but also extensive specifications. They show, for example, that the RTX 2080 Ti has a TDP of 285 watts and that the GPU has a boost clock of 1710MHz. Those specifications may differ with the cards from other manufacturers. However, it is generally known what the specifications of the new cards are.
The RTX video cards are based on the Turing architecture, which Nvidia announced last week. An important feature is that they have special RT cores for ray tracing. Nvidia will hold a presentation entitled GeForce Gaming Event on Monday. The video cards will probably be officially announced then. There will be a live stream on Twitch starting at 6:00 PM.
