Image presumed successor HTC Butterfly pops up
An image has appeared online of what is supposed to be a successor to the HTC Butterfly. The device with the code name B2 has a housing that resembles the One M8, but the specifications are not yet known.
A render image of the device went online set by Evleaks, who is often the first to get hold of images or specs from unreleased smartphones. It would be a successor to the J Butterfly, a smartphone that HTC released for the Japanese market. For the time being, the depicted device is known under the code name B2, probably a reference to Butterfly 2.
The image shows that the housing is copied from the One M8, although the B2 has thicker bezels at the bottom and top. The speaker grills below and above also seem slightly different than with the One M8. Nothing further is known about the hardware specifications.
Although the B2 is mentioned as a successor to the Japanese J Butterfly, it is likely that HTC will also release the smartphone in Europe. Previously, the manufacturer already did this with the release of the Butterfly and Butterfly S, some time after the Asian release.
