Ikea releases bluetooth speakers

Spread the love

IKEA furniture chain has released two bluetooth speakers with different dimensions. Both offer support for up to eight devices. Specs are missing and the products are not yet available in the Benelux.

The Eneby-speakers are on the British site of Ikea. The small version is 20x20cm, while the large version measures 30x30cm. It seems that it concerns regular speakers without an internet connection and no possibility to operate via voice commands, which is not about competitors for the Google Home Mini and Amazon Echo Dot.
The speakers are rectangular and only have an on and off button on the front, which also serves as a regulator for volume, bass and treble. Ikea mentions few specs, but it is possible to connect in addition to wireless via a cable and the 3.5 mm input on the device. Users can also buy a battery pack to use the speakers for eight to ten hours on a battery charge.
The furniture chain requires 49 pounds for the small version and 80 pounds for the large version. That is currently around 56 euros and 92 euros. It is the first time that the originally Swedish furniture chain offers bluetooth speakers. Previously it came with other tech products, such as smart lighting and wireless chargers.
