Iiyama launches 34″ IPS monitor
Following the lead of several other manufacturers, iiyama has released a 34″ monitor with an IPS panel and a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels. The screen has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a maximum brightness of 320 candela per square meter.
Iiyama gives its 34″ monitor the type number ProLite XUB3490WQSU-B1. According to the manufacturer, the ah-ips panel has a response time of 5ms and a refresh rate of up to 75Hz. The screen is mounted on a stand that can be adjusted in height by 130mm. .
The monitor can be connected via HDMI, HDMI 2.0, HDMI/MHL or DisplayPort 1.2. There is also a USB hub with two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports integrated on the side. One of the USB 3.0 ports supports fast charging. In addition to two built-in speakers, there is also a headphone jack.
LG was the first manufacturer in 2014 to release a 34″ monitor with a 21:9 ratio. Many monitor makers subsequently came up with comparable screens. The new 21:9 widescreen monitor from iiyama is available immediately, for a suggested retail price of 799 euros.
