Iiyama Introduces New Series of G-Master Monitors for Gamers

Monitor manufacturer iiyama presents a new series of monitors for gamers. The G-Master Red Eagle and Black Hawk are full HD screens and are available in 24″ and 27″. The Gold Phoenix is ​​a 28″ model with 4k resolution. All models have a tn panel.

Iiyama divides the five new screens into three clans. Two screens with full HD resolution appear in the Red Eagle clan. Both monitors have a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz, response time of 1ms and support AMD’s FreeSync technology. There is a choice of a 24″ and 27″ model. The same choice of formats is available for the Black Hawk variants. These screens also have a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. However, the refresh rate is lower at 60Hz, so iiyama calls this the budget models.

A 28″ monitor with a 4k resolution of 3840×2160 pixels will be released under the name Gold Phoenix. The manufacturer does not yet give details about the refresh rate of this model. We do know that the screen has a response time of 1ms and offers FreeSync support. Probably Given the model number, the specs are similar to the previously introduced ProLite GB2888UHSU.

The 24″ screens seem to be variants of models that iiyama released earlier in the ProLite series. This is apparent from the specifications and the model names, which are almost the same. For example, iiyama already has a ProLite GB2488HSU and GE2488HS, the same models now appear in the G-Master series.

According to iiyama, the 27-inch monitors with full-HD resolution will be available for purchase this week. The manufacturer has not announced recommended retail prices, but the GE2788HS and GB2788HSU are already in the pricewatch for about 250 and 400 euros respectively.
