Iiyama Introduces 28″ Monitor with UHD Resolution

Iiyama has announced the ProLite B2888UHSU, a 28″ monitor with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. The display with UHD resolution will be sold for a price of 599 euros and should be released this summer.

That has been announced by the manufacturer. The new ProLite monitor with 28″ diagonal is manufactured with a tn panel and a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. Furthermore, the panel has a refresh rate of 1ms. Iiyama claims to have incorporated a technology that reduces the intensity of the blue light, thus looking at the monitor should be less tiring on the eyes.The contrast ratio is 1000:1 and the brightness is 370cd/m2.

In terms of connections, there is support for DisplayPort and two HDMI connections are built-in. There is also support for mhl, a protocol that is mainly used by mobile devices. There are also two USB 3.0 connections and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

According to Iiyama, the new 28″ monitor with UHD resolution will be available in Europe this summer, although a more precise release date was not announced. The screen is asking for a price of 599 euros.
