Idris Elba gets role in Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty

Idris Elba will appear in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion, due in 2023. This can be seen in a teaser trailer that was shown during The Game Awards.

Elba’s character will be the focus of the upcoming DLC. The actor, known for Thor and Prometheus, among others, plays the FIA ​​agent Solomon Reed. Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves, also returns in the expansion. In addition, the DLC still revolves around V, the main character of the main game.

Phantom Liberty was announced in September by CD Projekt RED. The paid expansion will be released in 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The exact release date is not yet known. While Cyberpunk 2077 was released on previous-gen consoles, Phantom Liberty will only appear on current-gen. The game studio also announced earlier this month that it will start developing a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 starting next year.
