HYTE introduces Thicc Q60 AIO water cooler with 5″ IPS screen for $300
Housing manufacturer HYTE shows its first AIO water cooler. The Thicc Q60 will have a 240mm radiator and a cooling block with a 5″ screen on the front. The cooler will be available in September at a suggested retail price of $300.
The HYTE Tthicc Q60 has a 5″ IPS screen with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. This screen is mounted on top of the CPU water block and has a number of RGB LEDs on the back behind a matte surface. According to HYTE, the screen is controlled by an Arm SoC with four cores and 2GB DDR4 memory.
Various things can be displayed on the screen via HYTE’s Nexus software. On an image of the manufacturer it can be seen that the screen can display some kind of widgets. This shows, for example, the amount of RAM in use and the amount of free storage space on a drive.
The water cooler itself has a 240mm radiator with a thickness of 52mm. The included Thicc FT12 fans are 32mm thick and are connected wirelessly to a kind of magnetic Nexus hub on the radiator. That hub contains a single cable for the power supply of the fans. The fans in question run at speeds of 500 to 2000rpm and also have a zero-rpm mode. In time, HYTE will also come with a Nexus Portal. This is a kind of hub to which other HYTE Nexus devices can be connected.
