Huawei will stream Windows 10 to Android smartphones Android
Huawei is going to offer its Cloud PC service in China to owners of some models of its smartphones. The service allows users of Android devices to run Windows 10 streaming.
Huawei’s Cloud PC service will initially work on the Huawei P20, P20 Pro, Mate 10, Mate RS and the MediaPad M5 tablet. Users only need to install an app to use it. They can use Windows 10 on the smartphone and display the operating system on a large screen via, for example, USB-C.
The software can access the local memory of the smartphone and Notebook Italia shows, for example, how to take a photo with the smartphone camera, which can then be opened directly in Photoshop for Windows.
The service uses the Huawei Desktop Protocol, which the company has developed itself. The service will initially be available in China, but Huawei is said to have plans to introduce it in Europe as well. Huawei announced the service at CES Asia 2018, which will take place in Taiwan.
