Huawei will soon release a PC with its own Kunpeng 920 CPU in China
Huawei would soon like to release a desktop PC with its own processor. The processor is called Hi1620. TSMC would make the CPU with 24 cores for Huawei. It is a product for the Chinese market.
The processor would be a variant of the Kunpeng 920 that Huawei has already put in servers. The variant with 24 cores runs at a maximum of 2.6 GHz. The Hi1620, like the other Huawei processors, is based on ARM architecture.
The PC also has 8GB of SO-DIMM memory, a 512GB SSD made by Samsung and an AMD Radeon 520 as a graphics card. It is a PC for the government and the business market and it therefore also runs on the Chinese UOS. The PC is code-named Pangu. Huawei does not make desktops for the Western market, but laptops with Intel processors and Windows as the operating system.
