Huawei has sued Samsung again in China for infringement of its patent rights. The company is demanding eighty million yuan, converted approximately 10.8 million euros, because Samsung would infringe Huawei’s rights with a total of sixteen devices.

It is unclear exactly how Samsung would infringe, Reuters writes. However, various sources report that it concerns the display of icons in folders and widgets. The Chinese court has considered the case, a spokesperson told the news agency.

ZDNet reports based on an article by the Chinese site Sina that Huawei employees, under the guidance of notaries, have purchased a number of Samsung devices in electronics stores, including a Galaxy J5 and an S7, along with the edge variant. These devices would all have technical characteristics from Huawei patents.

In May, Huawei already sued the Korean Samsung for infringement of patents for, among other things, telephone software and mobile networks. Huawei owns a large number of patents in the field of 4G.
