Huawei starts its own download store for apps
Huawei has put an installation file for its own app download store online. The AppGallery is standard on the P20 phones and is now also available for other models from the Chinese manufacturer.
Huawei created the download store “to promote high-quality content, offers and apps optimized for Huawei phones,” the AppGallery site said. To install apps, users must use a Huawei ID, the Chinese manufacturer’s service login system.
The AppGallery was the first to appear on phones from the recently announced P20 series. The download store will appear with updates from this spring on other Huawei devices and the Honor sub-brand, but the manufacturer does not say which ones. In addition, users can install AppGallery via an apk file. The download store is available worldwide.
