Huawei shows wireless earbuds with bluetooth 5.1 and active noise cancellation
Huawei comes with fully wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation. The Freebuds 3 are also the first earplugs that support bluetooth 5.1. The earplugs will be available from October for an unknown price.
The Freebuds 3, which were unveiled at the IFA, are equipped with Huawei’s own A1 chip. The A1 runs at a clock speed of 356MHz and, according to Huawei, is the first chip that supports bluetooth 5.1. Bluetooth 5.1 promises a higher connection speed and less power consumption, which should lead to a longer battery life. The Freebuds 3 have a response speed of 190ms.
The Freebuds 3 have a battery capacity of 30mAh per earbud. According to Huawei, they last about four hours. In addition, the earplugs come with a charging case. This box has a battery of 410mAh, with which you can fully charge the earplugs about five times. The case also supports wireless charging via the Qi standard.
The earplugs also have active noise cancellation. Huawei states that the earplugs can both suppress about 15dB of background noise. During phone calls, the Freebuds 3 block out ambient noise and amplify your own voice at the same time. Huawei does this by means of a bone sensor that recognizes voice vibrations.
Huawei also often reveals a new soc during the IFA. This is also the case in 2019 with the Kirin 990 processor. The new chips will likely be in the Mate 30 smartphones. They will be presented in two weeks.
