Huawei shows electric car Cyrus Huawei Smart Selection SF5
Huawei has announced an electric car at the Shanghai auto show: the Cyrus Huawei Smart Selection SF5. The car is equipped with the operating system Huawei HiCar from the Chinese manufacturer.
The SF5 is produced in collaboration with car manufacturer Seres. For the time being, the car has only been announced for the Chinese market, where the car has now also appeared on the Huawei website.
The electric car is an SUV of 4.7 meters in length and 1.93 meters in width. The SF5 is equipped with two electric motors with 405kW peak power and 820Nm of torque. According to the manufacturer, this allows the car to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.86 seconds. With the two electric motors, the car has a range of 180 km.
Huawei claims the car has an actual range of 1000km, based on the New European Driving Cycle, or NEDC. For this, however, use must be made of the range extender in the form of a 1.5-liter combustion engine and the car no longer drives electrically.
The SUV comes in two versions: a four-wheel drive model and a two-wheel drive model. The two versions cost respectively 31,554 and 27,700 euros. It is not known whether the SF5 will also come to the European market.
