Huawei seems to soon announce the first smartphone with 512GB storage
Huawei seems to soon announce a smartphone with a storage of 512GB. The Chinese inspection body has added an update to an earlier inspection containing information about the 512GB variant.
Tenaa’s review page shows an update this week stating that the phone will have a variant with a memory size of 6GB and a storage capacity of 512GB. Until now, 256GB was the maximum storage on a smartphone. It is unknown who the supplier of the storage is.
The telephone in question has the type number NEO-AL00. Some sites such as PhoneRadar speculate that it is a ‘Mate X’, although it is unknown exactly what that will be based on. The Mate 10 Porsche Design, among others, has a storage of 256GB.
Phones that Tenaa approves usually appear on the market within a few weeks to months. The inspection provides little information about the device, except that it runs on Android and has the option of using two SIM cards.
