Huawei releases Freebuds 3i with active noise canceling for 99 euros

Huawei announces the Freebuds 3i, wireless earphones that are functionally similar to the Honor Magic Earbuds, which were recently released. The price is also the same. The earphones should distinguish themselves with active noise canceling.

The only difference, besides the brand, is that Huawei also supplies the earphones in black, while Honor’s are only available in green and white. According to Huawei, the noise reduction can remove up to 32dB of noise or wind at six meters per second, approximately wind force 4 on the Beaufort scale.

The earbuds also have a sensor to detect whether users have them in their ears; if not, the audio will pause. When users put them back in, the audio turns back on. The earphones also have touch-sensitive controls. The Freebuds 3i have 10mm drivers.

The earphones come in a box with which they can be charged. The case has a USB-C connection. Huawei claims a battery life of 3.5 hours for the earphones themselves and 14.5 hours with charging in the case. Huawei will release the Freebuds 3i on Friday for 99 euros. That’s as much as the Honor Magic Earbuds came out for a few weeks ago; they also cost 99 euros. Huawei released the Freebuds 3 last year. They also had active noise cancellation. They are slightly more expensive and have a different fit. The 3i are in-ear; the 3 are not.
